Sentamu Academy Learning Trust – Policy Statement
The Sentamu Academy Learning Trust (SALT) recognises the uniqueness of each of its partner academies and the communities which they serve. Varying local needs and opportunities will require its academies to align their activities and ways of working strategically and sensitively to provide the best possible service to their distinctive communities. SALT welcomes this diversity and the opportunities it offers to draw upon the expertise of staff in all its academies. At the same time there are key aspects of policy that are best unified across all member academies of the Trust to ensure fairness, efficient operation and to meet statutory need. This overall approach is reflected in the delegation of policy setting responsibility. All academies in SALT are bound by the Academies Financial Handbook and SALT’s Financial Regulations Manual, which ensures that we comply with the schedule of regulations laid down in the Academies Financial Handbook.
