Home Learning Resources

Although the academy remains open until further guidance, we are aware that some of you are now in self-isolation. To ensure you are still able to access the curriculum, we have created a Home Learning Page with a range of resources and Google Classrooms, run by your teachers.

The Academy is now closed

01.04.2020 – We have just received information from the Government regarding FSM Vouchers. We will be in touch with parents in the near future to start processing these. For now, we are continuing our current arrangement of food packs which are available for collection at the academy (12-12:30pm)

24.03.2020 – Following the PM’s announcement, we ask students and parents to avoid coming to the academy to collect work. Over the next day or two we will organise an alternative for getting work to you.
Right now, it important that you stay indoors and only leave for essential items like food and therefore will continue to offer Free School Meal packs at the academy. Collection: 12-12:30pm

Welcome to the Archbishop Sentamu Academy.

Our aim is to bring the highest standards of education to the young people in our local area.

It is a great honour to be the Headteacher at Archbishop Sentamu Academy. I was born less than a mile away from our academy and see it as my job to ensure all students achieve the best outcomes possible.

Archie has a very strong family tradition. We offer excellent pastoral support and a structured house system to ensure our students are well cared-for. This approach extends all the way into our highly successful Sixth Form, where students are equally well-guided and supported.

Whilst we insist on rigorously high academic standards for all, we also focus on developing the whole student and promoting their well-being. We are therefore proud to run scholarship schemes in Rugby, which is becoming one of the best in the country, as well as our Spotlight Drama Scholarship scheme; their performance of Ocho gained both national and international acclaim.

Be assured that I want exactly the same high standards for your children as for my own. By offering inspirational teaching and a wide range of extra-curricular activities, I strive therefore, with all my staff, to ensure that they are safe, happy and given every chance to flourish in all aspects of their lives.

I look forward to working with you all to ensure we achieve this.
